    I found the following quote from the Fulkerson Papers which came from the Claiborne County Pioneers Project: "Valentine "Felte" Phelps(Fultz), Born on 1 Mar 1780 in Stokes Co., NC. Valentine "Felte" died in Claiborne County, TN on 22 Aug 1865; he was 85. Occupation: Owned & lived on Farm On the Waters of Straight Creek. P.G. Fulkerson Papers" Other important information gleened from this report was that Valentine arrived in Claiborne County in 1814.

As Valentine Phelps He was a Farmer in 1850 in Claiborne County, Tennessee. He died in 1865 in Claiborne County, Tennessee. A group led by Valentine Fulps
    (known as Felty), son of Michael, went to Claiborne County, Tennessee in Tazwell. This group included both descendants of Peter and Michael.
    From Old Time Tazewell: A sketch of Felte Fultz and family. Felte Fultz came to the county in an early day and purchased a farm on Straight Creek, later owned by Captain Vincent Meyres. They raised two sons and four daughters: George and John; the daughters were Betsie, wife of John Kelley, Sr.; Sallie, wife of Rev. William Simmons; Jane, wife of Captain Vincent Meyres. Katie, wife of Ganum McBee. They owned a farm about four miles west of Tazewell, between Knoxville and Straight Creek road. Their sons were Elbert, Milton, and John. Elbert, oldest son, married Miss Mary McCauley. They owned a farm near his father. He lived several years and died, leaving her in care of two daughters and a son. The daughters married Mr. Lee Henry Harmon and Mr. Guinn. Milton McBee, second son of Gainum McBee, owned a farm near his father. His wife was Miss Sarah Killian, a daughter of James Killian, Sr., and sister of Rev. Levi Killian of this county. John McBee. third son, owned a farm near his father also. He was twice married. His first wife was Miss Margaret McCaulley. She lived a few years and died, leaving him in care of three small sons. His second wife was Miss Jane Chesney of Union County. She was a granddaughter of Rev. J.N. Yaden. Mr. Gainum McBee's daughter, Niecie McBee, married Mr. Robert Minton, son of John Minton, Sr. They live in the neighborhood of her father. George Fultz, oldest son of Felte Fultz, Sr., owned a farm on Straight Creek about four miles from Tazewell. His wife was Miss Cyntha Lynch. They had two sons and a daughter: Esquire Nelson Fultz owned the old homestead of his father, and cared for his widowed Mother. His wife was the daughter of Druery Herrell, Sr. Members of the Missionary Baptist Church. Gustavus Fultz was his brother. One of George Fultz's daughters married Wesley Philips and emigrated west. John Fultz, a son of Felty Fultz, Sr., married Miss Jane Goodwin, lived several years and died, leaving her in care of some family. One daughter, named Susan, married Mr. Pope and lived in New Tazewell.

    He was married to Anna BEELER on 7 Jul 1851 in Claiborne County, Tennessee. Anna BEELER was born in 1785 in Virginia. She died after 1860 in Claiborne County, Tennessee. Children of Valentine (Felty) FULP and Anna BEELER were:

I have seen a name Valentine Felte Phelp b. 1877, had daughter Sally Phelp. Valentine Phelp b. 1890, daughter = Sally Phelp Valantin Phelp is listed b. in 1890. Felte Fultz is listed as the father of the same Sally Phelp, in "Old Time Tazewell". text as follows: Rev. William Simmons married the second wife, Sallie Fultz, a daughte of Felte Fultz, another good old citizen who owned a boundary of land on the wates of Straight Creek and raised a respectable family of sons and daughtes.

    Since Valentine got married to Ann Beeler in 1851 the 'rough draft-Cook-Thompson-Nickell-Yeager-Phelps" tree has the following data.
    Volentine A: 71 married in 1809 to Susan Anna SHELBY A: 69 B:abt 1782 in Stokes, North Carolina, USA in 1850 she is age 68.
    She died before 13 Jul 1851 when Valentine married Anna Beeler. In fact Valentine was living with his father according the 1850 census.
