  1. 8.  Joh. Peter VOLP was born on 30 Jul 1791 in Crispenhofen, Germany (son of Joh Andreas VOLP and Maria Margaretha WOLMENSHAUSER).

    Notes:

    Joh. Peter served in the Napoleonic Wars. It is recorded in an old Church document in the town of Crispenhofen which is now part of Weisbach. The document said that he was the only surviving warrior to return home. There was a 3 day celebration at his homecoming. A great aunt of Andreas Volpp told about the celebration. After returning from the war, he bought a Bed & Breakfast in Crispenhofen abt 1820. At 61 he fathered another child. His sister married and moved to Ingelfingen-Kocherstein.

    A relative from Widdern had a letter with information that the Volp's originally came from Italy. This is confirmed today by Family Tree DNA. The name later evolved to Volpp in some lines.

    Joh. married Anna Catharina KLEINBACH on 10 Jul 1821 in Crispenhofen, Wurttemberg, Germany. Anna was born on 2 Jan 1798 in Crispenhofen, Germany. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
