Jason is presently(2009) a senior at the University of Maryland studing Computer Science. Earlier, he had dropped out of college and became certified in Massage Therapy.
Jason returned to UMD and got his degree in Comp. Science in Dec. of 2011.. Jason and Justin walked across the stage together to receive their degree.

Graduated from Cabrillo High School in Lompoc, CA; attended one year college at Santa Clara, 3 years at NC State and 3 years at Oklahoma State (DVM Veterinarian Medicine). Practiced Veterinarian Medicine for several years in Raleigh, NC, then moved to Springfield, VA where she practiced on contract basis at several clinics. In 2001, the family moved to Annapolis, MD where she continued working in Veterinarian Medicine at small animal clinic. Has been certified to practice acupuncture on small animals. In 2008, she started her own practice working from her home. In addition to normal Veterinarian practices, she also practices acupuncsture and alternative medicine on small animals

Worked on R&D and Production Missile Programs for US Army and US Air Force at White Sands Missile Range, NM; Detroit, MI; Nekoma, ND; Kwajalein Island in the Marshall Islands Group; Whippany, NJ; Boston, MA; Burlington & Greensboro, NC; Germany; Sardinia & Padava, Italy; Vandenberg Air Force Base & Huntington Beach, CA., and Litchfield Park, AZ Worked for AT&T International in Atlanta, GA and Saudi Arabia. Specific areas of specialty was as senior development and test engineer on missile guidance systems, radars and computer control systems, high power transmitters, & communications microwave systems. Our transmitters were the largest in the world at the time.
Navy assignments during WWII included Naval Ammunition Base on Guam, ship board duty in South Pacific aboard PC and Crash Boat duty at Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL

Ruth attended elementary school and two years of high school in Washington, DC. She graduated from Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, NC. She began college at University of Texas in El Paso in 1963 and continued taking college courses in Lompoc, CA., Kwajalein, MI (Univ of Hawaii), Univ of ND and at University of North Carolina in Greensboro, NC. Received degree in History at UNCG and in 2009 is still continuing to take fun courses at UNCG.
Ruth met Vestal when her family first moved to North Carolina in 1948 and she was only 15. She would go to his father's farm house each day to buy milk. This milk was unpasteurized and sold in half gallon jars and had about 50% cream at the top. Vestal was attending college at the time and happen to be home one day when Ruth cameto buy milk. When he saw her, sparks began to fly and after two years of courtship, the rest is history.. They were married in 1950 by Vestal's best friends father who was a non denominational preacher and who had never performed a ceremony (he was in his late 60s). Now, 63 years later (2014), we are still happily married..
Hobbies include: water sports (skiing, sailing, snorkeling, sailing, fishing), traveling, history, art, classical and jazz music, book clubs & reading, knitting, and cooking. She also served as leader of a brownie girl scout troop when her daughters were in that age group.

Samuel married Veola Agnes TURNER on 15 Apr 1914 in Rockingham Co, NC. Veola (daughter of John Richard TURNER and Agnes Ann SOUTHERN) was born on 10 Jan 1888 in Rockingham Co NC; died on 24 Sep 1950 in At home, Forsyth Co NC; was buried in Crews Methodist Church, Forsyth Co., NC. Veola died at 5:45pm at her home on Reidsville Hwy Rt 158 outside Winston-Salem , NC. She was 62 yrs old. Funeral service was held at Crews Methodist Church at 2:30pm, Ernie Shore was one of the pallbearers.
Troubled with Rheumatoid Arthritis most of her life.

James married Anna Ruth LATTIN on 10 Nov 1927 in Alexandria VA. Anna (daughter of Edward LATTIN and Ruth Gunnings HOOPES) was born on 07 Mar 1908 in New Castle Co, Wilmington DE; died in 1973 in Washington, DC. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

Ann was raised by her Aunt in Washington, DC. She was introduced to James Edwards by his first cousin, Irene Edwards. After her divorce from James in 1937 she worked as a secretary for the Federal Government. She was dearly loved by all her grandchildren and her desserts were renowned. Her granddaughter, Donna, and great grand daughter Jennifer have carried on Ann?s dessert tradition.
Comments by Vestal Fulp, son-in-law of Ann: Ann was a model grandmother to my two daughters as well as a model mother-in-law to me. We often visited with our two daughters on short notice, and she always greeted us with warmth and a cheerful smile; and with what appeared to be little effort, could put on a gourmet meal including at least three mouth watering desserts. She was a fantastic bargain shopper and loved giving gifts.
