When Jacob wrote a will on 10 Nov 1785, he directed that all of his real and personal property be sold at public venue. The money was to be divided equally among his ten children. He specifically spelled out that if any of his daughters should die, her share would go to her children. No money was to go to the husbands.

This will was brought for probate on 10 Jan 1787. The executor of his estate reported to the court on 25 May 1790 a balance of 1952.15.5 1/2 pounds. (York County, Pennsylvania Orphans Court Docket F-258)

The burial sites of Jacob and Elizabeth are unknown.
