    Birth date may be 1861 per Brenda Roberts note
    From Kristina Turner research papers: George's Estate took 2 years to settle - the end was a sale of all the personal property - and the buyers are mostly family - Caruthers, Fulp, Angel, Knight, Vaughn, Perdue, ......... etc, etc, Sam Caruthers was Administrator of the Estate. After all was said & done, the final dispursment was $3.04 1/3 cents each to Lela, John and Thomas Turner. Orphans court records need to be checked - to learn more about these minor children. I do know that John W. was with his Grandparents, William & Anne Turner in the 1900 census. No mention at all of George's wife Nancy....???

    George married Nancy Diane PURDUE on 22 Dec 1881 in Rockingham Co NC. Nancy (daughter of John PURDUE and Ruth UNK) was born about 1861. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
