Charles Don WEBER, Sr

A Recent yDNA test shows that Don Weber Jr's male bloodline is in the Volp/Fulp/Phelps family. His father, Charles Don Weber, Sr was adopted as an infant in Portland, OR in 1933. We are searching for their connection to the Volp/Fulp/Phelps family. Here is our current theory:

On Mar 31, 1933, Paul Berton Phelps(1912-1976) who was 21 years old, single and living in or near Portland, OR, had a son who was given up for adoption and became Charles Don Weber Sr. Eleven months later on Dec 23, 1933, Paul Berton Phelps married Katherine Koch (1912-2001) and they had two girls. We do not know if Katherine was the mother of Charles Don Weber Sr. However, we do know that Charles Don Weber Sr named his first son Don Berton Weber, Jr. Berton being the same middle name as Paul Berton Phelps. We also know that his German and not English yDNA narrows down the possibilities. We do not know of any other "German" Phelps men living near Portland, OR at this time period.
