the railroad was constructed through the area in 1879, the Stapleton depot was named "Sunbright," and the name was eventually applied to the entire town. Andrew treaveled from Burrville to Sunbright to catch the train to Lincoln ,Kentucky where he met Mary Alice Phelps, Married her and returned to Burrville.

Sharon Jerry Alexander Bond wrote: "Mom (Shirley A Peters B:16 Apr 1926) remembers how her grandfather, Andrew, used to pack his camera and tripod over his shoulder and walk off into the piney woods....He would be gone for a couple of days taking pictures. Uncle Ray (Raymer Phelps Peters Jr B: 26 Sep 1920:) , her oldest brother and Andrew's grandson, was a great photographer as well. He took literally thousands of pictures and slides. "

Afer looking at my census data it looks like Andrew Layton moved from Morgan County Tennessee between 1908-1909 to St Tammany, Louisiana, USA this is based on the fact that his daughter Reba was about age 2 in 1910 and she was born in Tennessee. Shirley Ardell Peters Alexander estimated that Andrew moved his family to Poplarville, Mississippi about 1914.

Andrew was blind in one eye...In our family, my mother,Shirley Ardell Peters, and her siblings called them Pop Peters and Mom Alice instead of grandfather and grandmother...they were my great-grandparents....I never knew them stated Sharon Jerry Alexander Bond.
