Member of Bethel Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years. He was a WWII Veteran and was retired from Hanes Dye and Finishing Co.
He and Geneva had 9 g'children: Elsa Brown (Terry), Sherri Wicker (Lee), Daniel Fulp (Devara), Michael Bobbit, Marie Brown (Donnie), John Clemens (Betty), Angela Weiner (James), Joshua Fulp and Kristin Fulp.

Obituary of Lulu Belle
Hugie made liquor all his life. His boys took it into town to sell. He had a massive stroke and was bed riddren for a llong time. She told her children that after Hugie died, any of her children who came to live with her and took care of her for the rest of her life, she would give them the farm. It was given to Virginia and her heirs. Virginia still lives in the old log house. SOI: Madeline Fulp
