Lemons. It also says that he married Daisy Livia Enuchs. We located
his grave near his mother's. The inscription on the stone reads:

from Tom McElfresh notes: "The handwritten notes state that John David Lemons was first married to
Eliza Ann Friddle (1843-1870). This is as I suspected.
Data from other sources (incl "The Heritage of Rockingham County")
indicate that Eliza Ann was the first child of Frederick Friddle
(1820-1886) and Charity Keck (1821-1876). Eliza had a younger brother
named David Rankin Friddle (1851-1926). David Rankin Friddle had two
sons, James Weldon Friddle and David Lawrence Friddle, who married the
daughters of Leonard Anderson Southern & Mary Elizabeth Caruthers."

John married Lucy S. KNIGHT on 18 Dec 1877 in Rockingham Co, NC. Lucy (daughter of James KNIGHT and Polly UNK) was born on 09 Aug 1845 in Rockingham Co NC; died on 13 Feb 1915 in Rockingham Co NC; was buried in Gideon Church. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
