    Jacob probably arrived in Pennsylvania in Pennsylvania in August of 1717. Among this group would be the Herr's, Kreider's and Funk's. (Emigrants, Refugees, and Prisoners, Richard Warren Davis,pages 35-43,) He settled in Lancaster County, PA at Engleside which is a little south of the present day Lancaster City. He eventually had a patent for 350 Acres of land.(Patent A-6-339, Division of land Records, Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, Harrisburg, PA.) He would also acquire land in Manor Township, Lancaster County for 475 acres(Patent A-9-338, Harrisburg.)
