James Raymond Chasteen James Raymond (on left) first enlisted in 1902 telling the Army he was 21 years old. After 2 years he reenlisted for 3 more years and was sent to the Phillippine Islands. He was discharged September, 1907 and returned to Lincoln county, KY. On December 5, 1907 he married Ida Belle Phelps. On May 28, 1908 he enlisted in the Army and was sent to Fort Thomas, KY. He was discharged on 27 May 1911 after serving 8 years.
