  Birth date may be 1861 per Brenda Roberts note From Kristina Turner research papers: George's Estate took 2 years to settle - the end was a sale of all the personal property - and the buyers are mostly family - Caruthers, Fulp, Angel, Knight, Vaughn, Perdue, ......... etc, etc, Sam Caruthers was Administrator of the Estate. After all was said & done, the final dispursment was $3.04 1/3 cents each to Lela, John and Thomas Turner. Orphans court records need to be checked - to learn more about these minor children. I do know that John W. was with his Grandparents, William & Anne Turner in the 1900 census. No mention at all of George's wife Nancy....???
