  Told her daughter, Branson, that she could remember the night Grandma Wilson's brother, Benjamin (Ben) Turner was killed (accidently). She said she had married (October 7, 1903) and was living with her in-laws. She remembers that they (Ben and brother, John Richard) came by Grandma's house that night on their way home from Wentworth. They had been down checking on their father's will and estate. They had been drinking and Grandma tried to make them spend the night. They were traveling on horse and buggy, but they would not stay , and Ben was killed that night. NOTE (Vestal Fulp): John Richard was charged and stood trial for the murder of Ben. He was acquitted, and from the court records, it appears both were very drunk and John could not remember what happened - thus, no witnesses and no proof.
