• Notes

  Judge Lindsay's home on Deep River, a portion of which still stands, was used as the meeting place of the Guilford County Court from 1771 to 1774. This is only about 6 miles from Kernersville, where the later Lindsays lived. VGF note: the first Greensboro airport was named Lindsay Field - there may be a connection.
