Notes |
- Joh. Peter served in the Napoleonic Wars. It is recorded in an old Church document in the town of Crispenhofen which is now part of Weisbach. The document said that he was the only surviving warrior to return home. There was a 3 day celebration at his homecoming. A great aunt of Andreas Volpp told about the celebration. After returning from the war, he bought a Bed & Breakfast in Crispenhofen abt 1820. At 61 he fathered another child. His sister married and moved to Ingelfingen-Kocherstein.
A relative from Widdern had a letter with information that the Volp's originally came from Italy. This is confirmed today by Family Tree DNA. The name later evolved to Volpp in some lines.
