  Graduated from Cabrillo High School in Lompoc, CA; attended one year college at Santa Clara, 3 years at NC State and 3 years at Oklahoma State (DVM Veterinarian Medicine). Practiced Veterinarian Medicine for several years in Raleigh, NC, then moved to Springfield, VA where she practiced on contract basis at several clinics.
