    Phillip's obituary reads: He spent all his life in the Pfafftown community, and graduated from Vienna High School. He was with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co where he was a supervisor in the shipping department, retiring in June of 1970 after more than 44 years of service to the company. He was a member of Doub's Methodist Church where he was an active member on many of the boards. He was also a member of the Oldtown Civic Club and the Senior Citizens Group of Pfafftown Christian Church. Phillip died at the Medical Park Hospital.

    Phillip married Millie Minerva ANGEL on 03 Jun 1933 in Winston-Salem NC. Millie (daughter of Robert Lee ANGEL and Essie Ora FULP) was born on 28 Aug 1911 in Stokesdale NC; died on 25 Mar 2005 in Forsyth Co., North Carolina, USA; was buried on 28 Mar 2005 in Pfafftown Cemetery, Pfafftown, NC.
