Notes:

Told her daughter, Branson, that she could remember the night Grandma Wilson's brother, Benjamin (Ben) Turner was killed (accidently). She said she had married (October 7, 1903) and was living with her in-laws. She remembers that they (Ben and brother, John Richard) came by Grandma's house that night on their way home from Wentworth. They had been down checking on their father's will and estate. They had been drinking and Grandma tried to make them spend the night. They were traveling on horse and buggy, but they would not stay , and Ben was killed that night.
NOTE (Vestal Fulp): John Richard was charged and stood trial for the murder of Ben. He was acquitted, and from the court records, it appears both were very drunk and John could not remember what happened - thus, no witnesses and no proof.

Lou married Franklin Henderson WILSON on 07 Oct 1903 in Rockingham Co, NC. Franklin (son of John Watt WILSON and Sarah Matilda TURNER) was born on 15 Feb 1884 in Madison, NC; died on 18 Feb 1931 in Rock'ham Co, Madison, NC on farm; was buried on 19 Feb 1931 in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
