from Tom McElfresh notes "(3) Samuel R. Lemons (1880 census). The new info says Roscoe Samuel
Lemons. It also says that he married Daisy Livia Enuchs. We located
his grave near his mother's. The inscription on the stone reads:

p. 155, Sheet 8A, #137/140, 17 Apr 1930:
This census lists S Roscoe Lemons, age 52, born in NC, and living with
his wife Daisy and seven children. Roscoe was 24 years old when he
first married. His occupation is "Farmer" on a "General Farm" which he
owns. He can read and write. He is not a veteran. Both of his
parents were born in NC. The children are:
Carl T Son age 26
Wade W Son age 24
J Hubert Son age 22
Taylor R Son age 18
L Mildred Dau age 15
Leviah Dau age 10
Mary F Dau age 9
This census lists Daisy L Lemons, age 51, born in NC, and living with
her husband S Roscoe and seven children. Daisy was 23 years old when
she first married. Her occupation is "None" and she can read and
write. Both of her parents were born in NC.
