Eunice Fayard Tourne The Picayune Item
PICAYUNE- Eunice Fayard Tourne, 87, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2008 while visiting her son in Albuquerque, N.M. Services are schedules for Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in Picayune. Visitation will be at McDonald Funeral Home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and mass will be at 2:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church. Interment will be at New Palestine Cemetery immediately thereafter.
The last surviving child of Louise Gazzo Fayard and Judge Henry T. Fayard, Sr., Eunice was born in Bay St. Louis on January 22, 1920, graduated from St. Joseph?s Academy and resided there until her marriage to Paul D. Tourne, Sr. of Picayune. Preceding her in death are her husband, Paul, her grandson, Jason Ashton Tourne, her parents, Louise and Henry Fayard, her brothers, Pete Fayard, Elton Fayard, H.T. Fayard, Jr. and Robert Fayard; her sisters, Ildred Hart, Emma Fischer, Emelda Kearney, Genevieve Ziegler and Mercedes Sawyer.
Eunice is survived by her children, Paulette (Richard) Koenig of Tehachapi, Calif., Paul D. (Stephanie) Tourne, Jr. of Albuquerque, and Thomas E. (Mary Lou) Tourne; her four grandchildren, Paulette, Jesse, Edwin and Jeremy; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews as well as grand and great grand nieces and nephews also.
McDonald Funeral Home, Picayune is in charge of the arrangements.
