Mountain Grove in Clark County, Indiana. Lawrence R. Kelly and his wife Martha are buried there ~~~~~~ Sabra's parents were Abraham Kelly (1777-1822) and Hannah Bartley (1732-1831). Abraham's parents were Lawrence Robert Kelly (1740-1823) and Martha Smith (1742-1823). Lawrence was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Clark County, Indiana, sometime before 1820. I have a long note that I copied from somewhere that gives sources for some of this. I think the rest of the connections were deduced from census data and online geneaologies. Because this is so well documented, you should be able to google and find a lot of information. Here is the note: Pennsylvania Vital Records, Volume II, Record of Marriages Performed by Rev. She said she had married (October 7, 1903) and was living with her in-laws. She remembers that they (Ben and brother, John Richard) came by Grandma's house that night on their way home from Wentworth. They had been down checking on their father's will and estate. They had been drinking and Grandma tried to make them spend the night. They were traveling on horse and buggy, but they would not stay , and Ben was killed that night. NOTE (Vestal Fulp): John Richard was charged and stood trial for the murder of Ben.
